Tropical Incentives DMC · Cancún, MX
Redesign of the website for a leading DMC in the hospitality industry in Mexico and the Caribbean—focused on optimizing sales flows and increasing conversion rates through a corporate user-centric experience.
Tropical Incentives it's a Destination Management Company based in Cancún, specializing in corporate events, conferences, and incentive travel in Mexico and the Caribbean. My role as a UX/UI intern was to lead the redesign of their website under a three-month contract.
The challenge: The existing website failed to convey the quality and scale of the company’s operations, and the disjointed contact and quote processes drove away high-value customers before they could convert.
"The Mexican event management market is projected to grow at an annual rate of 7.4% through 2029, driven by tourism and cultural events. The opportunity lay in positioning Tropical Incentives as the top choice for international corporate planners."
Mexico Event Management Market Overview 2029

The color palette reinforces the brand's positioning: navy conveys professionalism and authority to the B2B audience; gold evokes luxury, sunshine, and the promise of the Caribbean without resorting to visual clichés.

Each anchor property (resorts, venues, experiences) received a dedicated template. The layout prioritizes imagery, benefits for the planner, and a prominent call-to-action leading to the quote form..
The goal: to enable a corporate planner and a client or guest to evaluate options, capture value, and request a proposal without leaving the page.
Working at an active DMC forced me to apply UX theory to a real business with sales, proposals, and corporate accounts on the line.
